Integrated Night-Time Economy Research Network (INTERN), 2011
 
INTERN is a new international research network in criminology bringing together key academic experts from around the world. The network is coordinated by Prof Ross Homel and colleagues at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. Phil is a member of the international panel working on the development of comparative research projects producing new evidence to support nightlife safety and security policy internationally.    
 
European Safer Drinking Scenes Project, 2011-13
 
Organised by the Paris-based European Forum for Urban Safety (EFUS) and funded by the European Commission, this project brings together the experiences of community safety practitioners and public health bodies in 10 European cities. The project aims to share best practice and to fund locally targeted initiatives in alcohol-related harm reduction in each of the various locations. Phil is the UK representative on the Expert Committee.
